Statistics: 98.7% increase in the value of Japanese investments in Egypt within a year

Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics showed an increase in the value of Japanese investments in Egypt, reaching $73.7 million during the fiscal year 2021/2022, compared to $37.1 million during the fiscal year 2020/2021, an increase of 98.7%.

The value of trade exchange between Egypt and Japan amounted to $1.1 billion in 2022, compared to $1.6 billion in 2021, a decrease of 26.3%. The value of Egyptian exports to Japan recorded $260.8 million in 2022 compared to $554.4 million in 2021, a decrease of 53%, while the value of Egyptian imports from Japan amounted to $888.5 million in 2022 compared to $1 billion in 2021, a decrease of 11.6%. .
