Mukhtar Tawfiq, head of the Egyptian Tax Authority, confirmed that the development and engineering of the procedures achieved by the Tax Authority is a quantum leap that contributes to improving the mental image of its customers in terms of replacing paper procedures with automated procedures, which prompted the Tax Authority to launch several electronic systems, including the electronic receipt system, which is considered a natural extension For the electronic billing system, in order to cover all types and forms of electronic transactions that take place between all parties to commercial operations, which allows the Authority to follow up on all sales or purchase movements that take place in the market, noting that all development and mechanization projects in the Authority enjoy continuous and accurate follow-up from the Minister of Finance .
Mukhtar Tawfiq indicated that the electronic receipt system operates through a large central system within the Tax Authority, which is operated through electronic integration between electronic accounting systems and point-of-sale devices for merchants, companies, or service providers.
The head of the Tax Authority added that the electronic receipt system aims to verify the validity of the data of the source of the receipt, as well as integrating the informal economy into the formal system, so that the principle of equal opportunity and justice is established between companies.
