Engineer Mohamed Abdel Karim, Chairman of the Industrial Development Authority, confirmed that lands have been offered in 15 governorates, equivalent to about 790 plots of land, to implement various projects, in addition to the issuance of about 7,000 operating licenses.
Abdul Karim said, during a telephone conversation with the journalist Ahmed Moussa, the presenter of the “On My Responsibility” program, on the “Sada Al-Balad” channel, that operating licenses have been granted for more than 7 thousand factories nationwide, explaining that most of the factory licenses for agricultural commodities by notification take 5 days. days.
Abdel Karim added, this evening, Saturday, that 565 projects have been implemented in various industrial sectors, with investments amounting to 57 billion pounds, and about 62 thousand workers work in these projects.
He continued: President El-Sisi directed the need to localize various industries, as there is a desire to bridge the import gap and reduce the volume of imports of these projects, and 55% of the new factories will contribute to saving about $25 billion.
Abdul Karim explained, during a telephone conversation with the journalist Ahmed Musa, presenter of the “On My Responsibility” program, on the “Sada Al-Balad” channel, that work is being done to provide many employment opportunities to eliminate the import gap, indicating that new lands will be offered on the 16th of this month. through the Authority’s website.
Abdul Karim pointed out that there are international companies from Italy, China and Turkey that have taken over their lands to implement their products in Egypt, especially in electrical appliances, to cover the needs of the local market and export the surplus abroad.
He stressed that there are promising investments in the electric car industry, in addition to working to localize the soda ash industry, which is considered an entry point for many important industries, noting that there are many investors from many countries in all countries.
